Waiting

Not too much to report and photos I will have to attach later because they are on my computer at home. ..Yes I am still working but only on Thursday's wich means this will probably be my last day if the litte one should arrive on time. God willing I will not got too far into next week.
It is amazing the transformations that come along with pregnancy...such as swollen ankles when it is hot. I never knew my ankle, the right one only, could swell to such a size as it was! But I treated myself to a spa pedicure and the foot massage did the trick!
Lately we have been watching MMA and UFC cage fighting and when we do it seems like the baby is doing a little wrestling of it's own rolling around in my belly much to the amusement of our friends who watch in utter disgust and amazement all at the same time. I know cage fighting sounds crazy but it is actually very entertaining and real...not like WWF with the over dramatic wrestling and chair throwing, this is real martial arts and boxing all combined and in the end of it all they shake hands and give eachother a pat on the back for a job well done! Maybe I am having a boy becasue I find it wierd that I would be into this so much!
Now we are just waiting. Trying to keep ourselves busy to keep our mind off of the waiting. Just a few more days and we will meet our little baby! I have been nesting here and there with occasional breaks to the pool so I can float around and cool off. Josh is getting all the more excited especially after watching the labor and delivery coaching DVD. He is ready to go and I know he will be a great coach...I just hope he does not faint at the sight of blood and the IVs!
Funny story....The septic backed up again and so I called Josh to see what I should do. Of course I had a little worry in my voice because I felt bad that he would have to deal with it after a long day at work but my hesitation to tell him what was happening made him a little nervous when it was followed by "Honey...there is water coming out of both sides of the sink again." He first heard "water coming out" and thought I was talking about me! "No no! Not my water, the water in the sink, the septic is backing up again!" Josh, "Oh...O.k. I will take care of it when I get home." We got a laugh out of it and I will never forget it because it was so cute to hear the concern in his voice for me.
Well I guess I will keep everyone posted. Who knows maybe the next time I blog on here it will be with pictures of our precious little baby!

Nesting: Stage One

It has begun! Jessica came over to help me paint the baby's room, a light cream color hard to see in the picture, and so began the nesting itch for me. So far we have done just about all we can do to the baby room and I am now beginning to feel like I am twiddling my thumbs in eager anticipation for more baby stuff. Soon I will be off of work (with the exception of one day a week until they fill Thursday's or I explode) and then I will be able to focus more on the home.
Just like May, June has its fare share of events. I attended a women's retreat at Murrieta Bible college and hot springs. They have a heated pool in a very beautiful setting. I had heard that being in a pool while being very pregnant can have a nice weightless effect on someone...Amen to that! I did not want it to end. Other benefits of being pregger's...the ability to balance an ice cream bowl on my belly...it is quite funny.
Just last night we celebrated at Macaroni Grill once again but this time it was for our friend Jonny who is moving away. He has been our Jr. High youth pastor for almost 2 years and is going home to Monterrey to finish his college education.
There is still more to come but we will save that for later and when there are pictures to share!

May Madness!

May has turned out to be quite the busy month for us. It started with early Saturday mornings searching for the perfect crib, I finally found a set of furniture on Craig's list. The next weekend was a photo contest that I entered to benefit Arts Unlimited in Ramona which turned out to be quite hilarious. I was thinking, "A photo contest would be fun and I enjoy looking at other peoples photography and art. The cash prize would be nice too!" Well it turns out that Arts Unlimited is a dance group ranging from little bitty kids to adults. We got to see the little bitty kids talent show which basically consisted of them going absolutely crazy on a stage to silly songs and even some old school tunes. Purely for their parents entertainment and mine and Josh's amusement. We laughed the whole time. Needless to say there were only two adults in the photo contest, myself and another gentleman and when he received first place it did not leave much surprise as to who would receive second!
The next day, Saturday, we went to the Ramona Rodeo. Good food, the kind that clogs the arteries, and entertainment. It was not one of the best rodeos I have seen but it was fun none the less.
Then there was mothers day. Busy but fun. We had a nice lunch with Josh's family and then headed down to Santee to pick up the much awaited for crib and changing table! ( Pictures of that later...We still have not painted the room).
This weekend Josh was not feeling well so he took it easy while myself and some of the other young ladies at our church went to a friendship tea in Old Town. Though the weather was hot we still drank hot tea, crazy I know.
Later that night my poor sick husband had a battle with the plumbing....he prevailed. The plumbing was no mach for Mr. Fixit. Thank goodness too because we already have the wonderful summer bugs coming out of all the cracks, we don't need water coming out of all the drains as well.
And finally yesterday...Josh's Birthday. We celebrated at The Macaroni Grill. If you ever want to hear a birthday song sung in Italian Opera, this is the place to go. Awesome food, great service, and a really big piece of cake for the Birthday boy!
Whew! I guess with all of this God is just preparing us for the busy life of parenthood.
May is not over yet.....
