Time fly's...

Time fly's when your a new mom! I know it has been a while but get used to it because one, I was never great at keeping a journal or diary and two I just forget to sit down and do this! Much has been happening since the last blog and there seems to never be a dull moment with our little Korban. He is now two months old almost 3 and seems to grow more and more every day. His character is developing more which is a lot of fun. The best part is going into his room in the morning. We hear him squirming and almost crying but not quite...then some grunting (working on a diaper for mommy) then I pop my head over the crib and wait for him to notice me. It takes him a few seconds because he is doing all of this fussing with his eyes closed so I say "Korban open your eyes and you will see mommy!" So he opens his cute little eyes and gets the biggest smile usually followed by a squeak and squirm. It is the best feeling in the world. I don't think anybody Else's smile can make my heart leap like his does.

We recently went on a trip to Ohio for our cousin Becky's (Josh's cousin) wedding. Korban did well on the plane and was a little lady's man with the flight attendants. I thought he was pretty cute too until he messed himself all over my lap. Well he was still cute but the situation not so cute.....in fact it was pretty gross. I thought the plane would be landing soon so we could just change him when we got to the airport. It was the longest most uncomfortable descent of my life. Thankfully my shirt was long enough to cover the front of my pants and nobody could see the horrible stain. Two weeks later, Josh would get to experience close to the same thing but this time it was at church and there was no hiding it!

At the wedding Korban was quite the little dancer! Josh held him on the dance floor and Korban would push up and down with his chubby little legs..Look out Dancing With The Stars there is a new guy in town! The wedding was fun and spending time with family was great. We spent some time at Cousin Brad's house (Josh's cousin) and with his wife Doreene and the kids as well. Shaker Heights is were they live and it is such a beautiful little place. Everything is so green in fact all of Ohio is so green, it makes Ramona look like a dust bowl! I only wish we could grow tomato plants and hydrangeas as beautiful as the ones I saw in Shaker heights.

For the last day of our trip we visited the Amish country in Berlin. We could have spent days there if we had more time. It was so different from our normal every day fast paced lives. But I have to say it wold be hard to part with the many things that make chores and communication so much easier. Little Korban slept through the whole day, except to eat of course, he was always awake for that! To top off the whole day we stopped at lake Erie. The weather was a bit chilly but the view amazing. I have never seen a lake so big! It looked like the ocean. Josh was pretty happy to see it and as you can tell in one of the pictures Korban was pretty happy too.

Now we are home and settled back into our routine. Next big event...another wedding!
